In accordance with the order of the President of 23 June 2026 No. 59/2026-рп, a Ukrainian delegation was formed to participate in the sessions of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs for 2026-2029 (Vienna, Republic of Austria). Representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control were also included in the delegation.
The main tasks of the delegation's participation in the meetings of the UN Commission are to properly present Ukraine's position during the consideration of issues of international policy in the field of control over narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, which will contribute to the development of international cooperation and the fulfillment of Ukraine's international obligations in this field.
Reference. The United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs is the main UN body for the implementation of cooperation in the fight against crime, illegal production and consumption of drugs, terrorist threats, corruption and human trafficking.
