The Quality Policy of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control is aimed to meet the needs of people in efficient, safe and high-quality medicinal and medical products and implement the state policy in the sphere of circulation of narcotic medicines, psychotropic substances and precursors and counteract illicit trafficking through:
- making proposals for the development of state policy and modernizing the current legislation of Ukraine;
- compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine;
- licensing the production and import of medicinal products (except for active pharmaceutical ingredients), wholesale and retail trade of medicinal products, circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors;
- state regulation in defined areas;
- promoting and strengthening international cooperation;
- maintenance of the functioning of the management system of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, PIC/S and WHO;
- development assistance, harmonization and implementation of good pharmaceutical practices (GxP), EU directives, PIC/S and WHO documents;
- implementation of human resources state policy, improving professional skills of government employees;
- continually improve performance and searching ways to increase its effectiveness.
