The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control keeps working in the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) Sub–Committee on Training (SCT).
The official of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participated in the regular meeting of the PIC/S Sub–Committee on Training that was held via videoconference on 17 November 2020.
According to the agenda the meeting also covered the current preparation for the “virtual” seminar «Distant Assessment of GMP Compliance» that is to be conducted by the Finnish Medicines Agency (FIMEA) for regulatory authorities of 53 countries during the period between 08 – 10 December 2020.

The program of the seminar aims to share and exchange experience on implementation of the procedures of distance assessment and distance inspection conducted to confirm correspondence of medicines manufacture with GMP requirements in cases when site inspection is not possible because of emergencies including pandemic.
The meeting also covered safety in virtual communications while conducting distance assessment and distance inspection.
Such meetings are conducted every year by the PIC/S members. Each seminar focuses on some GMP aspect with the aim to ensure training and harmonization in this field of activity. These seminars are available for inspectors of PIC/S authority-members and other interested regulatory authorities dealing with medical issues. Meanwhile they are not available for industry representatives.
