The meeting of the CD-P-PH/CMED was held online on 02-03 December 2020. Around 30 pharmaceutical regulatory authorities from all over the world took part in the meeting.
The participants exchanged their experience on prevention of falsified medicines and medical products including those used for COVID-19 treatment. They also shared information on methods to identify of medicines and medicinal products distributed by illegal ways.

The work of the CD-P-PH/CMED is coordinated by the European Committee on Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Care (CD-P-PH) and deals with falsification of medical products and similar crimes in healthcare that poses a risk to public health.
The CD-P-PH oversees the drafting process of legal instruments (e.g. resolutions), policies and guidance documents and exercises general oversight over the activities of the European Pharmacopoeia Commission.
