The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control and the Public Health Center signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.
The subject of coordination of efforts within the signed Memorandum is support and strengthening of potential of SMDC and its subordinated laboratories in accordance with the program “Accelerating the end of TB and AIDS in Ukraine”.
This cooperation is being implemented according to the requirements of the National Strategy on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Viral Hepatitis until 2030, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of 27.11.2019 № 1415-р, Law of Ukraine “On Programs of Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in Ukraine” and current legislation in the field of medicines quality control.
The cooperation covers harmonization of Ukraine’s legislation with EU’s one in the field of quality control of medicines including those which are used to treat TB, HIV/AIDS hepatitis and used for substitution treatment; modernization of information systems, trainings for laboratory personnel, establishment of communication platform for exchange of information on medicines quality and conducting laboratory quality control of medicines used to treat TB, HIV/AIDS hepatitis and used for substitution treatment.
