Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control Roman Isaienko participated in the Board of the Ministry of Health offsite meeting on the basis of the National University of Pharmacy

On September 18, 2024, a visiting meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine headed by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko was held on the basis of the National University of Pharmacy.

Participants of the event: Roman Isaienko – Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, Alla Kotvitska – Acting Rector of the National University of Pharmacy, Oleh Syniehubov – Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Olena Logvinova – Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Tetiana Demenko, Director of the Health Department of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Mykhailo Babenko – Director of The State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Viktor Lysak – Director of the Department of Healthcare of Poltava Regional State Administration.

During the Board of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine meeting, the strategic directions for the development of pharmaceutical education were considered, the draft of which was prepared by a group of experts of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in the sphere of «Pharmacy. Clinical Pharmacy».

The Board meeting ended with the decision to approve the presented strategic directions for the development of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine:

– introduction of a dual form of education in the specialization “Pharmacy” in the specialty “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” from the 2025/2026 academic year and preparation of relevant proposals to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in order to amend the relevant standard of higher education of the second (master’s) level;

– studying the issue of creation and functioning of educational and manufacturing pharmacies at university hospitals (university clinics);

– reviewing the structure and content of the test components of the Unified State Qualification Exam and the Step 3 «Pharmacy» Licensing Exam and developing the Regulations on the authors and reviewers of test tasks;

– development of a methodology for analyzing the needs of the healthcare industry for pharmaceutical employees.
