Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control (SMDC) reported publicly on the outcomes of the SMDC’s activity in 2019

The event took place 21st February 2020 with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, SMDC Board of Trustees and NGO.
The Head of the SMDC informed on the core outcomes of the key directions of the SMDC’s activity and the state enterprises subordinated to the SMDC. He also mentioned about success implementation of IT technologies, paperless documents flow, electronic services, including implementation of the system of electronic interaction between government authorities “Trembita” and modernization of information-analytical system, active participation in the implementation of the pilot project on marking medicines (2D-marking (QR-coding) ).
The Head of the SMDC also informed about successful results of SMDC’s reassessment by the PIC/S’s regulatory audit group and confirmation that the SMDC meets PIC/S’s demands. Besides, the team of the SMDC has been rewarded by the National agency of Ukraine on civil service for efficient and qualified organization of the preliminary estimation of the quality management system of public authority.
The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control has become a leader among central authorities of Ukraine on filling the website with information content.
During the meeting Mr Roman Isaienko mentioned “The national regulatory authority is ready for further systematic changes in development of the SMDC, open to cooperation and ensurance of recommendations of experts in the pharmaceutical field of Ukraine with the aim of modernization and improvement of SMDC’s activity”.
NGO representatives expressed gratitude to the Head and team of the SMDC for transparency and mentioned that during 2019 cooperation between the SMDC and experts representatives has reached a new quality level.
