The 29th of August is the Day of Memory for the Defenders of Ukraine

On August 29^th, Ukraine commemorates the Day of Memory for the defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

On this day in 2014, the Ilovaisk tragedy – one of the most tragic pages in the modern history of Ukraine took place.

Today, we bow our heads and honour the memory of those who did not return from the battlefields. Practically every Ukrainian family feels the pain of loss. And our duty to them is to preserve what has been achieved and continue the fight for Ukraine.

We honour the memory of fallen military healthcare professionals and pharmacists who heroically fulfilled their duty until their last breath—saving the lives of their companions in arms!

We thank those who defend our lives and freedom, who give us the opportunity to sleep at home, raise children, work, and see the sun. And we remember those who gave their lives for this.
