The representative of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control took part in the meeting of the PIC/S expert group on Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

The eighth meeting of the PIC/S expert group on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) was held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 23-25 September 2025.

The meeting was focused on recent developments in Good Distribution Practice and included presentations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and debates.

Andrii Dolhovskyi, Deputy Head of the Department of Wholesale and Retail Trade of Medicines – Head of the Division for Control and Licensing of Economic Activities in Wholesale and Retail Trade of Medicines, participated in the meeting via videoconference on behalf of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control.

The theme of the presentation of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participant was the experience of implementing a social project for the delivery of medicines, vaccines, and blood components by drones in Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting noted the practical importance of drones in ensuring public access to treatment in conditions of increased security risks and war, as well as the potential of the technology to maintain the continuity and controllability of the cold chain and compliance with GDP requirements in general.
