The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control held the webinar on “Conducting economic activities in the field of circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors by pharmaceutical (pharmacy) establishments, taking into account changes to the licensing conditions” for representatives of pharmaceutical (pharmacy) establishments, organized by the Department of State Regulation and Control in the Field of Circulation of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances, Precursors, and Counteracting Their Illegal Circulation. The specialists of the Department informed the representatives of the pharmaceutical sector with the changes that had been made to the Licensing Conditions for Economic Activities Involving Plant Cultivation (except for hemp for industrial purposes, as defined by the Law of Ukraine “On Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances, and Precursors”), of the list of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors included in Table I approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the development, production, manufacture, storage, transportation, acquisition, sale (dispensing), import into the territory of Ukraine, export from the territory of Ukraine, use, and destruction of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors included in the specified list, taking into account Resolution No. 996 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 13, 2025.

The following issues were discussed:

  • the procedure for obtaining a license for the circulation of controlled substances in a pharmaceutical (pharmacy) facility;
  • requirements for facilities and premises for storing controlled substances in a pharmaceutical (pharmacy) facility;
  • practical advice on compliance with licensing conditions in pharmaceutical (pharmacy) establishments.

More than 100 representatives of pharmaceutical (pharmacy) establishments participated in the webinar.
