The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participated in the conference «Pharmaceutical Budget 2025»

On September 24, 2024, the conference «Pharmaceutical Budget 2025» was conducted in Kyiv, organized by Proxima Research International Company.

The main topics of the panel discussions at the conference were the most important issues of the national pharmaceutical market.

During the event, the participants discussed the role of government support and European integration initiatives in ensuring the stability of the industry, and presented key regulatory changes affecting pharmaceutical companies. Government officials and experts shared analytical reviews and forecasts that outlined future market trends. The conference participants also shared their experience in building successful strategies in an uncertain environment.

The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control was represented at the event by Deputy Head Hennadii Vovk, who, in particular, answered questions about:

• introduction of automatic recognition of European GMP certificates;

• cooperation between medicines manufacturers and pharmacy chains;

• regulation of medicines electronic retailing and proposals to open new pharmacies on the principle of «1 owner – 1 pharmacy» and introduction of the pedestrian accessibility standard;

• prohibition of advertising on the packaging of medicines;

• possible renewal of planned inspections by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control.
