The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participated in the online briefing regarding Council of Europe Convention on the counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes involving threats to public health

On 10 July 2020 the Council of Europe conducted an online briefing regarding Council of Europe Convention on the counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes involving threats to public health (hereinafter – MEDICRIME) on the subject of “ MEDICRIME Convention in the COVID-19 context”.

Legal provisions included into the MEDICRIME Convention, problems and risks relevant to the falsified medicinal products and similar crimes in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.

Representatives of regulatory authorities in the field of quality medicines control of different countries, representatives of Council of Europe, Europol and EDQM participated in the above mentioned event.

Head of the Division for Prevention of Circulation of Substandard, Falsified and Unregistered Medicines of the Medicines Quality Control Department, Maryna Taran, participated in the online brieffing on behalf of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control.
