The first meeting of the Public Council of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control was held on 3 November 2020

Newly elected Public Council under the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control (hereinafter – SMDC) during its first meeting, that was held on 3 November 2020, discussed priority tasks and elected the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Public Council. Most public representatives joined the meeting in the format of a Zoom conference.

Volodymyr Korolenko, SMDC Deputy Head, welcomed the participants, noted the importance of the collaborative work and indicated that the SMDC always takes into account public opinion and constructive proposals in decision-making.

In the election of the Chairman of the Public Council, one candidate was nominated and unanimously endorsed by the members of the Council – Tetyana Kotliar, Head of the Public Union “All-Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Association “PHARMUKRAINE”. Tetyana Kotliar was re-elected for the second time.

Olena Prudnikova joined the management board of the Public Council as Deputy Chairman. Members of the Public Council addressed the SMDC to appoint an employee of the structural unit in public relations, who is not a member of the Public Council, to perform the functions of the secretary.

Participants agreed on a new draft Regulations on the Public Council, as called for in the agenda, and approved the work plan for 2021.
