The first mobile pharmacy was opened in the Chernivtsi region

On September 12, 2024, the first mobile pharmacy of the Private Enterprise Harmony-2000 started operating in the Chernivtsi region.

A mobile pharmacy unit delivers medicines to remote villages without pharmacy facilities. The route of the mobile pharmacy covers 9 settlements in the Kitsman, Stavchany, and Verenchansk territorial communities.

The mobile pharmacies ensure the availability of medicines and medical devices in remote or hard-to-reach areas where there are no stationary pharmacies.  Residents of such areas have the opportunity to purchase the necessary medicines in a timely manner, without needing to travel long distances to the nearest pharmacies. Mobile pharmacies also sell medicines within the framework of the state reimbursement program «Affordable Medicines». Mobile pharmacies are prohibited from selling narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.

The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, on behalf of the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko, prepared a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on amendments to the Licensing Conditions for the establishment of mobile pharmacy and their work organization. The relevant amendments to the License Conditions were approved by the Government Resolution No. 809 dated 04 August 2023, which entered into force on 09 October 2023.
