The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participated in the 14th Ukrainian Pharmacy Summit
Опубліковано 03.12.2024 о 16:06The 14th annual Pharmacy Summit of Ukraine was held on December 3, 2024. The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control was represented at the event by Roman Isaienko, Head of the SMDC, and Hennadii Vovk, Deputy Head of the SMDC.
During the event, Hennadii Vovk participated in panel discussions on topics of concern to the entire pharmaceutical sector: «Current Challenges» and «The Evolution of Medicine Supply in Turbulent Times». He shared expert opinions and presented statistical data on the number of licensees for wholesale and retail trade, the import of medicines, the number of pharmacies in rural areas, as well as the decisions of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control aimed at ensuring sustainable access to medicines.
Particular attention was paid to the resumption of scheduled inspections by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control from January 1, 2025, measures of state support for the opening of pharmacies in rural areas, in particular, mobile pharmacies, and the regulatory activities of the SMDC.
The discussions were very important for understanding the current problems of the pharmaceutical industry and identifying ways to overcome them.
The Summit was an opportunity to discuss steps to strengthen the national pharmaceutical infrastructure and guarantee public access to safe and effective medicines.
