Third meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Joint Working Group on Pharmacy between Ukraine and the Republic of India

On August 9, 2024, the third meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Joint Working Group on Pharmacy was conducted in the format of a video conference under the chairmanship of Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health – Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, on behalf of Ukraine and Ms. Gayatri Nair, Economic Advisor, Pharmaceutical Department, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control was represented at the meeting by its Deputy Head Volodymyr Korolenko.

During the meeting of the working group, the participants discussed regulatory issues related to the supply of Indian medicines to the Ukrainian market. The Indian side also presented aspects of the Indian Pharmacopoeia and the principles of pharmaceutical education at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research of India.

Given the extensive agenda and the broad range of areas of cooperation scheduled for discussion, the members of the working group agreed to hold the second part of the meeting in the near future.
