Quality Policy of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control

The Quality Policy of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control is aimed to meet the needs of people in efficient, safe and high-quality medicinal and medical products and implement the state policy in the sphere of circulation of narcotic medicines, psychotropic substances and precursors and counteract illicit trafficking through:

• making proposals for the development of state policy and modernizing the current legislation of Ukraine;
• compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine;
• licensing the production and import of medicinal products (except for active pharmaceutical ingredients), wholesale and retail trade of medicinal products, circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors;
• state regulation in defined areas;
• promoting and strengthening international cooperation;
• maintenance of the functioning of the management system of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, PIC/S and WHO;
• development assistance, harmonization and implementation of good pharmaceutical practices (GxP), EU directives, PIC/S and WHO documents;
• implementation of human resources state policy, improving professional skills of government employees;
• continually improve performance and searching ways to increase its effectiveness.
